Welcome to Bankruptcy Pilot and Petition Pilot, services provided by Debt Pilot LLC. By accessing or using our website and software, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy and Legal Disclaimer.

Description of Services

Petition Pilot is a document preparation software that helps individuals prepare bankruptcy forms for filing with the United States Bankruptcy Court. Our services include:

  • Guided interview process to collect necessary information
  • Generation of court-formatted bankruptcy documents
  • Email delivery of completed PDF documents
  • Educational resources and information

Petition Pilot is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice, representation, or attorney services.

User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You will provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents for accuracy
  • You understand that filing bankruptcy is a serious legal matter
  • You will maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You will not use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • You accept full responsibility for all decisions made regarding your bankruptcy filing

Payment and Fees

Our software is offered at the following one-time fees:

  • Chapter 7 bankruptcy preparation: $150
  • Chapter 13 bankruptcy preparation: $170

Payment is required before accessing the document generation features. All fees are non-refundable once you have accessed the software and begun preparing documents.

No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using our software, including:

  • Court acceptance of your documents
  • Successful discharge of debts
  • Protection from creditors or legal actions
  • Favorable rulings in your bankruptcy case

Bankruptcy outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including your specific circumstances, applicable laws, and court decisions.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Debt Pilot LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use our services
  • Errors or inaccuracies in generated documents
  • Court rejection of your bankruptcy filing
  • Adverse outcomes in your bankruptcy case
  • Any unauthorized access to your account or data

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Debt Pilot LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Inaccurate or incomplete information you provide

Intellectual Property

All content, software, and materials on our platform, including text, graphics, logos, and code, are the property of Debt Pilot LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any content without our express written permission.

Electronic Filing Not Supported

Petition Pilot does not support electronic filing of bankruptcy documents. You must print, sign, and file your documents in person at your local bankruptcy court clerk's office. Electronic filing access is typically reserved for licensed attorneys, not pro se filers.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Pennsylvania.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
